Dahlia Tuber Sale - Terms & Conditions
Dahlia Tuber Sale , before You Order
Dahlia tubers are living plants, and because they are a natural product, there are a few things we want you to know before placing your order
A little about our tubers
Every tuber sold by The Hanna’s Flower Garden is grown, lifted, divided and carefully inspected here on our flower farm in Hamilton, New Zealand.
We select tubers that have a healthy eye and are suitable for planting. Because every tuber is different, you can expect natural variation in size, shape and appearance. Some may have small cuts or scars from lifting and dividing, these are a normal part of the process and don't affect how the tuber grows.
We handle every tuber with care, but as with any living plant material, we cannot control what may happen to a tuber once it leaves the farm.
Ordering your tubers
Dahlia tubers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Adding a tuber to your cart does not reserve it, another customer may purchase it before you complete checkout.
Your order is only secured once payment has been successfully completed.

Delivery & Dispatch
We currently ship within New Zealand only.
Orders will be packed and sent between late September and early October. You will receive tracking details once your parcel has been handed to the courier.
Please make sure your delivery address is correct. Once your parcel has left the farm, we cannot be responsible for courier delays or issues caused by an incorrect address.
When your tubers arrive
Please open and check your tubers as soon as your parcel arrives.
If you believe a tuber has arrived damaged, rotten or otherwise unsuitable for planting, please email us within 5 days of delivery with photographs of the tuber and packaging. Please keep the tuber until we have had a chance to assess it.
If we believe there is an issue, we will work with you to find a suitable solution, which may include a replacement (where available) or a refund for the affected tuber.
Because tubers are a seasonal, living product, we are unable to accept returns due to change of mind.
What happens once you plant it?
This is the bit we wish we could control!
We carefully select and prepare every tuber, but what happens once it is planted is influenced by so many things, soil, temperature, watering, pests, disease, weather and how it is cared for.
For this reason, we cannot guarantee that every tuber will grow, nor can we guarantee the number of stems or flowers it will produce.
Our growing advice is provided to help you get the best possible start, but ultimately growing conditions are outside our control.
Sometimes things don't go to plan
We do our very best to keep our stock and website up to date. Occasionally, however, a tuber may become damaged or unusable between the time it is purchased and when orders are packed.
If we are unable to supply a variety you've purchased, we will contact you and offer either a suitable replacement or a refund for that tuber.
Looking after plant health
We take plant health seriously and regularly inspect our plants and tubers throughout the growing, harvesting, dividing and storing process.
Once a tuber is in your hands, however, its environment is outside our control. Plant material can be exposed to pests, viruses, soil-borne diseases and other issues within a garden.
We recommend following good garden hygiene and appropriate storage and growing practices to give your tubers the best possible start.
A final note
By completing your purchase, you confirm that you have read and understood the information above.
Nothing in these terms is intended to remove or limit any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer law.
If you're unsure about anything before ordering, please get in touch - we'd much rather answer your questions beforehand than have you unsure about your tubers when they arrive.
Thank you for supporting The Hanna's Flower Garden and our little flower farm.
